Former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker, Michael Owen, has predicted today’s Premier League clash between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur as well as Arsenal vs Sheffield United.
Owen said Man United would have the edge over Jose Mourinho’s side at Old Trafford.
According to him, Arsenal will defeat Sheffield United at Emirates Stadium.
“Jose Mourinho was last seen in the Premier League, storming off the pitch after VAR robbed his side of three points at home to Newcastle last weekend,” Owen wrote in his column for BetVictor.
“Who could blame him? Unfortunately, these are the new rules, so you’ve to feel for the officials in this case as well.
“This match has the added twist that Mourinho returns to Old Trafford.
“I expect Spurs to be disciplined. Man United have had problems of their own in their first two matches even though they managed to nick the points last week at Brighton, and I think they could have just enough to edge it here.”
Commenting on the Arsenal vs Sheffield game, Owen said: “It has not been the best of starts for Sheffield United.
“The Blades have lost three in a row and have looked like a shell of the side that we saw last season.
“This has been the case so far, and the visit to Arsenal could not have come at a worse time. I cannot see anything other than a home win.”
The kick-off time for Man United vs Tottenham is 4:30 pm, while that of Arsenal vs Sheffield United is 2 pm.
